Hey Y’all!

Welcome to my blog! I’m Rachel, and I’m so glad you’re here šŸ™‚

I like to write about ways to save money, ways to make money, and other personal finance tips. My aim is to help make your financial life a little more organized! You just never know what you will find here at Tidy&Teal.

One of the main reasons I wanted to write this blog is to give others helpful tools to be able to better organize their life. I am twenty-something and married, and my husband and I have figured out some things that work well in our household over the last few years. We are really invested in being financially responsible now so that we willĀ be financially successful later.

Basically, I want other young couples (and anyone else) to know that you don’t have to wait to be wise. Ā I think that sometimes we fall back onto the ideaĀ of being “young and dumb” and use it as an excuse to spend too much money or make bad choices. Why are we digging ourselves into a hole that is going to takeĀ forever to climb out of later?

Once again: Don’t wait to be wise!Ā

Whether it is creatingĀ a budget, opening a savings account (or a few), or using a credit card for good not evil, Tidy&Teal has the tools you need to becoming financially wise now instead of later.

Thanks for coming along on this little blogging journey of mine. No matter where you are in life, I hopeĀ you will find something interesting, helpful, or encouraging on my site.

About the NameĀ

So if you’re wondering about the name, here’s the story. Anytime that I have ever written anything, the first thing I do is come up with a title. Some writers will write a whole story before coming up with a name for it, but not me. The name is the foundation,Ā and it’s what all the content is built upon. With that being said, it took me forever to come up with a name that I thought fit me and my blog.

As I said, I wanted it to show my personality, relate to my content, and be catchy. To me, Tidy relatesĀ to all aspects of what I want to write about – a clean house, organized finances, and bringing calm to the chaos that is my life sometimes. I love when everything has a place – and that’s what Tidy says to me. And then theĀ Teal is for me! My favorite color is blue – in every shade – butĀ Teal is my absoluteĀ favorite. It makes me happy, and so I hope Tidy&Teal will bring a little more color into your life too.

I hope you enjoy my site! Please feel free to leave comments, send me email, and of course subscribe. Here are some links to get you started šŸ™‚
